Afra Toronto is a head-to-toe ready-to-wear fashion brand that fuses African heritage with Western fashion culture. Founded in 2015, officially launched in 2019. the brand aims to spread love, serve, and positively impact global communities.

Hi, I'm Sarah Osei-Mensah, also known as Amma, the Founder, Designer, and Stylist. I'm glad you've joined this beautiful bright community, specializing in amazing Kente designs and more. I'm excited to share my passion and creativity with you .

I initially started this business simply to support my now deceased younger cousin (35), a Jr. Designer Adwoa Afraso Sarfo based in Kumasi, Ghana , and to give back to communities in Ghana, my motherland, while fulfilling my life's purpose/calling, thus, continuing my beloved late father's fashion legacy. Being fashion driven and Afrocentric, I was compelled to take my craftsmanship to the next level as far as obtaining a fashion Arts Advanced Diploma at Seneca Polytechnic, Toronto Ontario. I am committed to this calling by promoting and celebrating African culture and excellence, one garment at a time.

For me, this is more than just clothing-it's about representation, diversity, inclusion, and empowerment. I am humbled to make a positive change in every day people's lives, and to contribute to a broader cause, cultural movement and liberation.
